Amazon packages being left in the car for hours in the sun. When I receive the item it's literally hot. Happened couple of times lately. Did you experience the same?

Wait until you hear how long your masafi plastic water bottle with BPA has been baking in direct sunlight

dubaiwifey

So true. Although I received one from a mini-mart a few days back and it was freezing cold! I was shocked, even showing my excitement to the delivery gentleman who thought I was a right weirdo.

DeXB

Check Noon Daily. Everything including water arrives freezing cold. I stopped ordering some items from Amazon for this reason.

fakertwo

They deliver frozen stuff to me melted. Varying experiences, its a hit or miss with them.

IEatPaper3

Ordered Haribo gummies from amazon, I got them fully melted and it was a gooey mess. Asked them for a replacement and they said they would take care of it properly next time but the next 2. replacements were melted and too hot to touch

gophercitizen

Yes, I’ve experienced similar, but it’s not limited to Amazon. In addition to the extreme heat the packages endure, I’ve found some of the 3rd-party Amazon couriers use their own vehicles and smoke like chimneys in side them. Thus, my packages reek of cigarette smoke. No bueno!

No_Hat_6605

I once received a melted lipstick from Amazon courier. Complained to the customer service and got a refund straight away.

fuckst1cK1

They started using a whole lot of different 3rd party couriers because 1. they're cheaper, 2. they need to manage to fulfill all orders... and the result is, instead of a proper Amazon van, these 3rd parties have regular cars, like a Sunny and etc.. and they dump all the packages in the trunk, so on, so forth.

Thwop

bruh, dubai's hot.

depressedboy407

Ordered an iPhone from Amazon, once it was delivered and I opened the package, the phone was just too hot to touch.

Firestarter_88

Dude ask them to put your order inside an ice box! You sound like you just arrived to Dubai on a boat day before yesterday!

WhiskeySourWithIce

Where on Amazon is the checkbox for that? /s

Resolvemedia

That's a hot deal.

spektaur

And that is the reason why you should avoid buying supplements and medicines from online retailers.

Amplideath

When you buy items in the store sure they're cold and seem fresh because the store is air conditioned. What about before arriving to the store? While in sea transit then - From port to distributor warehouse, from distributor warehouse to retailer warehouse, from retailer warehouse to stores... It doesn't really make a difference if your goods get 5-6 hours extra in a car.

TherapyThrowawayC

Also food, their supply chain are adhered to appropriate temperature. I'm not talking about buying toys from China

Matt081

Yeah, take a look at some of the condiments in a lot of grocery stores. The same brand will have varying shades of color showing that some of it was not cared for properly.

spektaur

If you buy from pharmacies their supply chains have to adhere to appropriate environmental conditions. Stores will vary and some will have the same standards others may not.
